Café Rum Mousse
If you’re looking for a melt-in-the-mouth dessert to immediately fall in love with, Rum Mousse is it. Creamy, smooth, rum dessert that’d take fewer than 5 ingredients and comes together easily. Give it a go and thank us later!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup heavy cream (FULL FAT, now low or whipped)
- 1/2 cup Café Rum
- 4 oz dark chocolate, chopped
- 2 large egg yolks
- 1/4 cup sugar
- Whipped cream and chocolate shavings for garnish (or just pour in a tbsp more of rum and call it garnish)
Method:
- In a saucepan, heat Cafe rum until it simmers, then add chopped chocolate and stir until melted.
- Whisk egg yolks and sugar in a separate bowl until pale. Slowly add the chocolate mixture, stirring constantly.
- Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold it into the chocolate mixture until fully combined.
- Fill up the serving glasses and chill for 2 hours.
- Garnish with whipped cream and chocolate shavings before serving.
